The Lighted Way
If a unity true exists
Upon this earth or one to come
And if each one in God persists
Then there shall be a happy home.

A happy home a sacred arch
That here would bridge an earth that’s sad
Makes light and bright the upward march
To that good land where all are glad.

Yea, yonder gleams a golden gate
That is a way; a lighted way,
A way away from words of strife;
A way to sing and love and pray.

Giants of sin oppose the way,
And stormy cloud and wind assail,
But eternal that happy day
When into glory all shall sail.

May every home go hand in hand
The wife the daughter and the boy;
All circled by a loving band,
All pressing forward full of joy.

In the presence of God they shout
Though underneath the bridge is foam;
Death and destruction is about
Yet they go forward to Gods Home.
